CHRISTMAS CARDS

Our 2009 Christmas card will be, as always, a high quality card unique to the Order and follows the tradition of having an image which includes St John the Baptist, Patron Saint of the Order.

On the front cover is a 15th Century painting by an Italian Master of the Fiesole Epiphany of the Madonna with Child enthroned with Saint John the Baptist between angels.

The painting is in the collection of the Princes' Czartoryski foundation at the National Museum in Cracow, Poland.  the Australian Association greatly appreciates the generosity of the Foundation and the President of the Polish Association, H.E. Andrerzej Potworowski in granting permission to reproduce this masterpiece.

There is a simple Christmas greeting inside the card and a note on the back cover states that proceeds from the sale of the cards will aid the charitable works of the Order of Malta.

The cards are now available for purchase. The price suggested compares very favourably with prices for other high quality cards.
